He blesses to let the light shine through us. We are to shine to the world. His greater plan is the constant churning of His Love in us. There is God’s flowing mystery that ebbs with Jesus. Who is the greater plan, who died on the cross for all our sins. He is the bright and morning star that saved the world from sin. We are His children who look to Him in love.

2 Peter 1:19 “And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.”

Mark 1:  International Version (NIV)
Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

Did you hear the door creaking as He opened it for you? Did you smell the dew on the ground in an earthen scent? Look up, stop for a moment with Jesus and look at the morning stars. Hold His hand and see the light shining down on Him that glistens in the wind. That path to the solitary place has some crunches of rock along the way. He holds you firmly so as not to lose your balance.

There in the dimness of lighting shadows, there are smooth clovers waiting for your knees. He holds your arm to set you down safely with Him, and clasps your fingers intertwining with His. His melody of prayer starts, “Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name…” His voice echoes in the rocks around you. This is His repeated Holiness of praise. You join in the song being sung in your heart. “For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.”
(amen) but when singing, I like Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

Have you thought about who would be getting up that early in the morning? When the bugle is sounding, and our military men and women are awaking in the wee hours of the morning? Would Jesus open the creaking door for them or the flap of a tent? Does He hold their hands as they walk out to the harshest of areas? Instead of bombs or gunfire being heard, can they hear Jesus singing His prayer for them? Pray for those blessings for our troops.

Memorial Day was a day of remembering your loved ones in Heaven. Remembering that one day we would be together again. Honoring your loved ones, your heroes, your protectors, was a day spent at the graveyards with flowers, flags, and feasting. We were taught together about life and death. Now, like many other Patriotic Holidays, they have been disallowed or dumped from memories of honor.

Memorial Day is a time for the flowers, flags, and feasting still today. It seems there are fewer in attendance at the cemeteries. Far less people attending the parades of veterans and honor of the stars and stripes. To learn and share we must hold onto His Story, His History. Memorial Day is not just one country involved, oh not so here. In America we are the one country that holds the “key” to the international compassion of all nations.

There are creaking doors, the dusk of mornings, pathways, and hope in Jesus around this world. Memorial Day is not just for one country, but for all of them. We have graveyards in so many other countries because we stood for their freedom. They have graveyards for the same reason. Memorials depend on the blessings we share with one another, remembering them in love.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall have ever lasting life.”
